An open container with four walls

The center panel becomes the usable base while four surrounding panels fold upward. Corner tabs connect adjacent walls, producing a simple tray that can stand alone or serve as an insert inside another box.

Good uses for a paper tray

  • Product and gift-box inserts
  • Desk and drawer organizers
  • Food mockups and displays
  • Parts and craft sorting

Choose a practical wall height

Very tall walls consume more sheet area and put more stress on corner tabs. For deep containers, test the joint strength or consider a lidded-box construction instead of extending a shallow tray too far.

Tray questions

Are the dimensions measured inside the tray?

Yes. Width and depth describe the usable base, and wall height describes the finished vertical wall.

Can this tray be used as a box insert?

Yes. Compare its outside size with the inside size of the surrounding box and allow clearance for material thickness.
